The demo version limits you to adding 25 books but is otherwise fully functional. #Bookpedia reviews downloadTo really see what Bookpedia can do for you and your library, download the free demo version now and have a look for yourself. These are just a few of the many wonderful features Bookpedia has to offer. And if it's not back in your library by that date, Bookpedia can automatically send an email to the borrower. The borrowed collection helps you keep track of who took which book at what date and when they were supposed to return it. Thanks to Bookpedia you won't have to worry about seeing a book again or forgetting who took it in the first place. Whether you have 15 books or 1500, chances are your friends will want to borrow them once in a while. There is even a dedicated collection for books you don't own yet - the wishlist collection lets you add books without actually adding them to the library so you can keep those entries apart but still remember them for the future. #Bookpedia reviews updateEnter the criteria for the smart collections and they will update themselves automatically each time a new book is added to the program. Create as many collections as you like to sort your books or if you want Bookpedia to do the grunt work for you, set up smart collections. If your books are all in a jumble, Bookpedia will help you organize them, at least on your computer. Search for your books using keywords - for example by title, author, publisher, ISBN or a combination of them all - or if you have a scanner or an iSight, scan the UPC and let Bookpedia do the rest. In addition, Bookpedia also lets you access libraries attached to the z39.50 server system. To retrieve information about your books, Bookpedia gives you access to all the Amazon sites as well as the Library of Congress and several international book sites. So you can sit back and relax with a good book. Entering the information for each book is fast and easy because the program retrieves all the information from the Internet for you. I know taste is a matter of personal opinion, but I truly don't believe ANY good designer can take a look at those templates and not be disgusted.Whether books line every wall of your house or barely fill one shelf, Bookpedia is the perfect application to help you keep track of them. But still, the lack of proportion, alignment and visual hierarchy to the information, in all these view templates is incredibly low quality. I will not post it as a review (with stars) because I really believe these apps ARE good and I really hope they LOOK good in a near future. #Bookpedia reviews professionalHow hard is it to hire some real and talented designers to create amazing and professional looking templates to make the apps "look" as good as I know they "are"? What good is it to rely on user contributed templates if (apparently) only amateur and/or bad designers seem to give it a try? There's not a single one that looks even slightly "designed". And yes I tested them all, including every single extra listed in the site. How I wish the "Info View" in all these 'pedia apps was not ugly as hell. Delicious Library on the other hand is beautiful to look at (it has a truly designed interface) but it doesn't offer all the functionality of the 'pedias. I own licenses to both DVDpedia and Bookpedia but have never been able to really use the softwares, because the Info Views are so bad. I wrote this long winded review b/c before I buy an application I like to know pros and cons of competing software. Easy to import numerous books by 1 author. Saving interface is weird.ĭL- interface is wonderful. Program has some bugs to be worked out in reference to kindle books not being imported with author names. Imports books with the genre label filled in accurately. The interface is awesome, imports kindle books, and can catalog other items besides books. #Bookpedia reviews proLibrarian Pro could be a really great program over time. Cover is not real easy to navigate to quickly find authors names. Interface is little boring when not in cover view. I click on the link and acrobat opens the book automatically. Link books to book picture in the library. ![]() Huge Positives with bookpedia- (reasons I bought the software). I wish all 3 companies would get together and combine their talents to make an awesome catalog software. #Bookpedia reviews trialI own the latest Delicious library version and have been using the trial version of librarian Pro. I have been using this program for a few days. ![]()
